VERTICAL ELECTRIAL SOUNDING (VES)

Image
Vertical electrical sounding is a geophysical method for investigation of a geological medium, the method is used on the estimation of the electrical conductivity or resistivity of the medium. The estimation is performed based on the measurement of voltage of electrical field induced by the distant grounded electrodes (current electrodes). The following methods are used to carry out experiment in vertical electrical sounding; v Wenner array (2D) v Schlumberger array (1D) v Dipole-dipole array v Square array AIM 1.      To determine the potential difference and current passing. 2.      To know the depth of water level in an area of mapping and to know the aquifer level of an area. 3.       It also determines the type of soil that can be used for building structures in a certain area. 4.      To know the type of crops that will be grown in that area. APPARATUS USED 1. Tetram...

Ways in which technology can be integrated in language class

Image
Technology has become integrated in the classroom in so many ways, that we often don't even think about how we are using it. The Education World Tech Team offers lessons and activities to help educators make better use of technology tools for instruction, and to help students improve their technology skills within the context of the regular curriculum. Included: Integration activities that utilize the Web, PowerPoint, Excel, digital photography, SMART Boards, and more. In more and more schools today, technology is recognized as an instructional tool, not as a subject of instruction. Still, many educators, less familiar and less comfortable with technology than their students, struggle to seamlessly integrate a growing list of technology tools into their regular curriculum. So, to help you make the best use of technology in your schools and classrooms this year, we asked the Education World Tech Team to share some of their favorite technology integration lessons, activitie...
