BATTERY ELIMINATOR CIRCUIT

Introduction
When transistor began to replace valves as the active component of electronic circuit ,the first thing that designers appreciated was that some electronic  equipment  BECAME REALLY PORTABLE  IE radio could t last be made slip into pocket however transistor were  also small  and required low voltage batteries .
To those individual who  clearly  remember electronic before transistor ,the change to miniaturization of electronic equipment has been remarkable ,Gone were the bulky  HIGH-TENSION and LOW-TENSION  batteries of valve circuits.
Radio which are built into the frame of spectacles and televisions  which can rest in the palm of hands  brought the trend of miniaturization  which lead to the  advancement in computer technology and space exploration
One of the drawback of portable, battery –operated radios is that batteries have to be bought also it gets drain with time  .one of the solution  is to buy a radio which has the facility to recharge its internal battery from mains  another is to have a radio that can operate from mains and  or battery
This  project describes a circuit that  gives  an output of 12v regulated power supply which  also eliminates the inconveniences and cost of replacing batteries
