INVERTER DESIGN USING DSPIC30F2010 (part 1)

OBJECTIVE:

To know how the various component function so as to produce the appropriate programming for it to produce and spwm for MOSFET drivers.


COMPONENT REQUIRED:

EXPLANATION


Crystal oscillator

A crystal oscillator is an electronic oscillator circuit that uses the mechanical resonance of a vibrating crystal of piezoelectric material to create an electrical signal with a precise frequency.


Voltage regulator

A voltage regulator is a system designed to automatically maintain a constant voltage level.


Resistor 

A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. In electronic circuits, resistors are used to reduce current flow, adjust signal levels, to divide voltages, bias active elements, and terminate transmission lines, among other uses


Diode

A diode is a semiconductor device that essentially acts as a one-way switch for current. It allows current to flow easily in one direction, but severely restricts current from flowing in the opposite direction.


Capacitor

A capacitor is a device that stores electrical energy in an electric field. It is a passive electronic component with two terminals.


LCD (Liquid Crystal Display)

An LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen is an electronic display module and has a wide range of applications. A 16x2 LCD display is very basic module and is very commonly used in various devices and circuits. A 16x2 LCD means it can display 16 characters per line and there are 2 such lines.


Dispic30f2010 Microcontroller

The dsPIC is a 16-bit microcontroller with high-performance and the high computation speed of a fully implemented digital signal processor (DSP)


Transistor

A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify or switch electronic signals and electrical power. It is composed of semiconductor material usually with at least three terminals for connection to an external circuit.




CONTENT

This is  micro-controller based digital sine wave inverter using DSP (Digital Signal Processor) with full bridge configuration topology MOSFET switches .This inverter is best suited for manufacturing for domestic and industrial applications as it is simple and easy. It consists only few components which are easily available, does not have any SMD components.

 

FEATURES: 


Isolated sensing of Mains: This will ensure that even if Phase-Neutral connection is reversed at the input side there will not be any electric shock on the PCB or battery.


Cycle-Cycle current Limiting: This is a enhanced protection method for the short circuit / heavy load condition.
